The premier speed location in the USA. Located on the picturesque Columbia River within sight of the mighty Pacific Ocean. The ArooBar sandbar only reveals itself when the tide drops below 5 feet and sailable for a few hours until the tide is at 2 feet. The sandbar is not listed on any charts but extends for 2km at low tide along the Washington/Oregon border in the Columbia River. Runs East West from Fort Columbia at the end of the Oregon Trail to the Chinook Marina wall. Located about 500m offshore in Baker Bay. Works in a Southerly wind direction, season is from October through May. When it's windy it's usually pouring rain and cold, mid 50 to high 40 degree temperature range, water temp drops into the 30's in Winter.
