This site is a great place to take your dog and from the beach often seems to have decent wind around 15-20kt in the afternoon. However, I have launched there many times and found that although it seems windy from the beach it is often actually much lighter when you get your rig up. There are often a few kiters at this beach and only an occasional windsurfer.

When there is enough wind to sail here, you'll need to beat upwind on some short tacks to clear the beach and get out beyond the point to some more consistent wind. With a strong west wind this site can be a lot of fun because once you get around the point you can sail around the north face of the point and through a small gap in a low breakwater to a 100 sq meter stretch of shallow flat water.
