Calima Lake is a man made lake located about 90km (1 1/2 hour drive) away from Cali. The average temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius with a water temperature ranging between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius year round.
It is windy 360 days a year with winds between 10 and 30 knots making it ideal for kiteboarding and windsurfing. All kiters and windsurfers are encouraged to launch from the site of one of the schools and talk to one of the locals about the do's and dont's of the lake.
