Windsurfing near Chilkat River Mouth

I was just here and saw that it looked good for kiting but locals said the wind normally blew down the river valley, which means off shore...
Does anyone know anything about this area?

It's a great spot to kite. It is mainly on-shore (up-river) during the summer, so the locals referenced above are wrong. The marker on the map needs to shift about a 1/4 mile south.
In winter, when it freezes over, it is perfect for snow kiting just north of the airport (about 1 mile north) using the off-shores that prevail.
