Site receives decent 15-20mph winds several days a week during fall and periodically during summer. It's best with a southwest wind. For a bit of volunteer time, they may let you stowe your gear at the club for easy access. Launch from the dock. Often need to time launch in order to avoid ferry traffic or sailing center sailboats in front of the dock. Once you clear the breakwater, the wind, waves and traffic situation becomes more regular. Parking can be tricky sometimes as there are a limited number of spaces.
Not a great beginner launch because of the traffic.
