Crunchies
This is an excellent location to introduce the intermediate sailor to wave sailing. Sailors have the option to sail a potentially large break or avoid it altogether by hitting the deep water. It is $3.50 to bring your car into the Pt. Leo area, but it gives to access to the Crunchies carpark which overlooks the whole area and the carpark near the life saving club. At the Crunchies some steps give easy access to the beach from the carpark.
Windsurf off the rocks or the beach at base of the stairs. Kitesurfers often sail south of Crunchies in front of the Life Saving club.
Best Wind South-West, South, South-East & East
Season Summer generally gives the most ideal wind directions
Local Hazards Lots of reefs, but these are usually quite obvious which extend from the Crunchies point
