Sandy Beach, Sandy bottom. The best location in Marathon. Best winds are North, NW, W, SW, S, SE. WSW winds bring in big swells which cause big breaking waves near shore. South wind brings in a pungent stench from the pulp mill. The only other vehicles there are boaters with boat trailers and dog walkers, neither park in the rigging area beside your parking spot.
