Great wave/ocean sailing spot on a NW wind. Spring/early summer is best. Big open beach, great for kiters. If the swell is big there is a huge left that peels through on the outer sandbar - a great winter surf spot that will hold triple overhead swell. The sand bar come away from the beach south of the parking lot so there is smooth water for launching. Lots of tourists on weekends.
