This is probably my favorite spot to launch on the middle neck. It is very secluded. You can park just a few feet from the water so you don't need to really carry your gear anywhere. Just rig up, and head out in this little cove. If the tide is low you may need to walk a ways through the mud, but no more than a hundred feet or so. Also, you are really only a few hundred feet from being right out on the Chesapeake Bay where you can't even see the other side so you have a nice wide open area to sail in.
On the map you can see that directly North of the launch is a rounded point. There is a nice sandy beach there that you can take a rest on if you like. No one else but a boater is going to have access to it so the beach is basically yours. From there you can see the wide open bay. If you head directly East out into the Chesapeake Bay you can sail a bit before you reach a sandbar. Head out to the bar to practice some water/beachstarts.
Be aware that there might be jellyfish if the water is highly saline. But if it's been raining a lot you'll have nice jelly-free water.
