shielded from the atlantic swells so is a nice flat-water location. Prevailing wind direction is south-west and this direction and north-west are the best for windsurfing. On a SW breeze be careful not to drift too far north as there are some nasty rocks and cliffs up there. Also, up here you are exposed to the Atlantic swells and getting back to the nice flat-water part of the bay could be tricky for most sailors.
