This is a fun place to sail. The best launch is the canoe launch, just east of the boat launch on the north side of the lake. Winds here are usually 10-20 mph by noon and die down by 6 pm. You rig on a bed of pine needles. There is good parking and bathroom facilites as well as picknick tables under the trees. The launch has a very small cove that blocks the wind, so family members can swim. Water temps are in the mid to high 60's so bring a shorty in the summer.
