Which wind direction is best
North (local thermal or global) and South (Föhn), the valley is very narrow, so East and West directions are almost blocked by mountains
What time of year is best
Winter is quite cold here, you know, better go skiing... But if Föhn (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C3%B6hn_wind) is coming, air temperature can go up to +10 or even higher and wind can easily reach 6-7 bft.
