Winds
South West thermal winds are normal here in the summer. West winds are good in the fall. You can sail Emily St. in anything but straight North winds.

Launch
Emily St. is a subtle point so the wind exposure is good right on shore. The beach is limestone gravel. Ok for bare feet but big enough in size to be uncomfortable. Parking is very close to the water, but there isn't much room on a windy day. The police like to ticket for no PFD.
