Windsurfing near Fairfield Lake State Park

Fairfield Lake is a cooling lake for a power plant. As such, it stays fairly warm year round. It's always been popular with the fisherman, but it's gaining some popularity as a windsurfing lake (especially during the winter months).

The best place to launch is in the camping area (specifically at the loop where the pin is on the map). There are lots of trees, so rigging is a bit of a challenge. But the wind blows fairly decent.

Good for a mid-winter fix.

Best winds would be northerly, but southerly also works.
