This is a great spot on north winds! In the winter months the water level is low and there is a bit of a walk to the water line but by the beginning of April the water line is very close to the parking area. Conditions are usually very choppy when it blows over 20mph and there is frequently a wind shadow right at the level of the parking area or just west of it. There are some small areas on the east/northeast side of the parking area that are a little more sheltered and could make for a good spot for beginners to learn to windsurf.
