Windsurfing near Granite Bay - Folsom Lake

This is the place to go on a south wind when it is not blowing in Rio Vista (ie outside of the summer).
If the lake level is low (which it is in the late fall) then go to Granite Bay park (at the end of Douglas Road) and take one of the boat ramps and drive on to the water line. The better exposure for south winds is further west toward Beals Point, but you aren't allowed to drive to the water line up there so you're better off sailing up there.
Conditions on a windy day are a bit gusty with lots of flat water.
