Hawksnest, 2.5-3 hrs north of Sydney is an excellent sailing spot. Clean blue waters great for flat water & B&J. Popular spot for kiting too. Best wind is North East. North end of the bay has sand bar with a shallow waist deep sailing. Wind is best in summer, but October to March is good. Dolphins and Turtles are common place.
