This launch features mats and grass area to rig up, parking, facilities, and a convenient launch. The wind here is fairly consistent but still still gets some risidual effects from the island wind shadow up by the hook. Swell and wind are bigger on the washington side of the channel. This is a convenient site to launch from because it's got all the accessibility of the event site without the parking fee and is upwind of most of the congestion.
