At Iron Cove most people launch from Rodd point, near the sailing club, which runs longboard racing on some weeknights. Best in a NE seabreeze but also has potential in a westerly unlike most spots in Sydney.

Hazards
Iron Cove has three rowing clubs, and the rowers have right of way, though it's unlikely you'll get conditions where windsurfers and rowers both want to be on the water. The water is quite shallow in places, and the water quality isn't the best after heavy rain.
