Windsurfing near Kensington Metro Park

A great spot for an after work session, but probably not a place to spend all day. The lake is smaller, and works fine on a SW, but if its marginal conditions, the wind will be really gusty. During the summer there are many paddle boats and kayaks, but no jet-ski's. Kent Lake is a no wake lake, so its a great place for learning. Weed fin is needed in summer months, but not in Spring and Fall. The lake is not very deep, and has a sandy bottom. Grass rigging area and lots of parking, but come early on long weekends, as picnicers fill up quickly. There is a daily enterance fee, get the annual pass, its worth it. The park has an 8 mile paved bike/rollerblade pathway if the wind dies.
