Second largest lake in Iowa (12,000 acres); Lake Red Rock is larger(19K) but less good for wind.
The main body is about 2 miles across and 5+ miles long, with prevailing winds from SSW and NW generally. It is a typical inland lake, often too little, or gusty wind, but is a beautiful place is almost all cases.
A small local group of about 5 windsurfers and 6 kiters frequent the lake, with another about 4-5 occasionals.
