Lake Texana is located a couple of hours southwest of Houston. There is a great campground where you can rig on the water. The Lake is great for windsurfing but not for kitesurfing. The best times are Spring and Fall when the winds are usually in the 15 to 20 knot range. The site gets its fair share of 25+ knot weekends. The lake is long and somewhat narrow and the winds are usually side to side shore. Its a great site but be careful with the alligators!
