15 miles so east of boise on the idaho city hyway is lucky peak dam. the best time for wind is summer in the early mornings(5am-10am) the wind comes down the canyon from idaho city. turn on the dam and head for barclay bay. call boise airport after 5am to get the wind direction any from the east above 5mph should mean 15 to 30mph of wind at the lake. rig big, air density is low.
