There's really not much more to ask for.. A huge flat water lagoon (8 x 2 km) is your playground - with soft, sandy ground, knee to waist deep shallow water without dangerous stones, reef or clams in it. Within kite-distance you'll find the sheltering reef, with running waves and glassy in between.
Wheather
Not much to say.. nice and warm, all year long. Leave your wetsuit at home! No need for that ;) .
Wind and seasons
At Mwazaro, you will find constant wind more or less the whole year as those are thermal.
However, there are good and even better times to go to Kenya:
Kaskazi (north-east) - December - April
With wind building up every day from morning until afternoons, it will be perfect for beginners in the morning and advanced kitesurfers can relax until early noon when the thermal kicks in. Expect around 16 to 24 knots every day, side- to side-on from the left.
Kuzi (south-east) - May- Mid-October
This is the "rainy season", i.e. it will rain everyday, sometimes heavily for some 20 min. in the morning and afterwards the clouds will dissappear. This time of the year you will find stronger winds up to 28 knots. From Mid-July, the Kuzi is getting weaker and settling down at around 14 to 18 knots.
Matalai - Mid-October - November
In times of the Matalai, you will have very few winds. This is the time to come here and do other things than kiteboarding.. i.e. diving, Safari or simply just relaxing..
