Windsurfing near Port Henry beach

This is lake Champlain's best location to launch a kite if you are kiteboarder and is also awesome for windsurfers! Pros: works with any wind without a west component, no fees, deep water if you are trying new tricks, there is another wide open beach 1mile north( you can do downwinds and securely come back to the next beach regardless if the wind is north or south, just change your launch spot). Cons: can be crowded of swimmers in the summer, not much shallow water for the begginers but with the option of a safe downwind. Best seasons: spring and fall with awesome south and north winds 6 out of 7 days of the week throughout the fall.
