Puntas Reef is the best of several reefs you can access from the launch at Punta Las Marias. You launch from a small park at the end of Guerrero Noble Noble Street (where it intersects with Park Boulevard) and head east. Two or three tacks will take you out and over a few other breaks, but the one you want is the easternmost one almost directly perpendicular to a point on land where there is a large house with a brass or copper colored roof.

Best wind direction is east southeast, but works well in easterly and southeasterly winds as well. Break starts working with swells around 4-5 feet up to 8-9 feet (give or take). Large swells of 10 feet or more make the break close out.

Very long rides at around 6-7 feet where the waves start to line up and join each other.

Windsurfers are a bunch of cool cats here and the kiteboarders are relatively respectful and don't usually drop in on you.

Great spot!
