The google map has the locator midway between North Ricketts, in front of the Beaumaris sailing club, and Sotuh Ricketts. South Ricketts is in front of the lifesaving club, and is a very popular windsurfing spot that can get crowded on any wind with a bit of east in it. It is one of the few locations on the eastern side of the bay that handle an Easterly wind. There have been attempts to ban windsurfing/kitesurfing from this location due to the Ricketts Point Marine Park.

Any local hazards
The rocks and cliffs are hazardous for kitesurfing. For windsurfers, the rock platform of Ricketts Point can come into play if the tide is low. There is also a sand bar infront of the life saving club that can catch the unwary at low tide. Watch out for stingrays!!!
