About a mile South of the town of Roberts and next to Interstate 15 is the Roberts Gravel Pond. The best beginner place around the area because it is small and it is easy to walk back to where you started from along the leeward shore. Also. if there are black clouds building near Mud Lake it may be best to abort the mission and settle for better wind at "The Pond".
