Roosevelt and it's Oregon side counterpart,Arlington sit at the Eastern end of one of the longest straight stretches of the Gorge.There is camping, grassy rigging,and a sandy launch[ stay close to the left side jetty to avoid a few rock outcrops on the bottom]. There is a distinct wind shadow for 50m or so and the wind gets solid about100m out. Best swells are across the river near the Oregon shore-watch the fish nets. When it's blowing "out East" this,Arlington and Three Mile are the places to sail. The Gorge at it's finest,with huge lined up swell and lots of room for everyone-kite friendly too
