Rooster Rock is infamous for sailing in the late fall and winter during the easterlies. Cool air comes out of the Gorge and creates some awsome sailing. Chilly to cold but definitely great sailing. Average winds are 25-35 and can be 40+ quite often. The old video of the guy sailing 70mph winds was taken there. Nov-Dec the water is still quite warm (50-55) which offsets the cold air. The rigging is grassy but the walk to the water is down a long stair and across sand. Not bad until you decide to pack it back up.
