Rose Bay is one of the few Sydney spots that works in a NW Wind. Launch from the sailing club. The water here can be really choppy at high tide as it reflects off the sea wall making for unpredictible chop. It's not the best sailing spot around but when it's blowing 30 knots NW it's one of the best options. However it's quite sheltered in most other wind directions.
Not really safe for kiting due the apartment blocks dead downwind.
