This is a shallow lake about 1.5 km (1 mile) in diameter, so it's always flatwater, even with whitecaps. The ice is off around mid-May and it warms up quickly because it is shallow. It gets weedy in July though. Any wind is good except East which is rare. It is a private beach with a friendly landowner that lives there year-round.
