Sandy Point
Home of the world speed sailing record prior to Finian's effort in 2005.
In 2006 Chris Lockwood reached the speed of 48.3 knots here on his windsurfing kit.
There is a large inlet partly sheltered by a low dune that provides excellent flat water riding in strong winds.
Also excellent wavesailing
Wind direction: Sailable on all directions - WSW & E/NE work best on speed courses - SE & N work best for waves
