Windsurfing near Shoreham or Le Pines

Bold textShoreham / Le Pines

Works in a S or SSW winds. With too much W in the wind it becomes cross off shore with a distinct wind shadow 500m out.

It takes a considerable swell from the back beaches to roll into the bay and waves only form on an incoming tide. Aprox 3-2 prior to high tide.

Rigging is grass verge and is straight forward. However, in SSW it is best to walk kit around the point and launch to the right of the reef.

The actual reef is not very sharp or dangerous.

It is possible to sail at all points of tide, however it soon turns to bump and jump conditions.
