Siesta Beach is Gulf of Mexico sailing off the main beach. Best time to sail is mid April through May but it can be good on West seabreezes in the late afternoons through the summer. Parking is either on Beach Road or in the north end of Main Beach parking area. Rigging is best by the picnic tables off Beach Road, plenty of grass. Showers and bathroom close by.
Sailing is usually cruising 14 to 17 MPH winds. Sea state is usually calm with some swell further out.
Best directions are SSW to WNW but on shore WSW won't work.
