Golfo di Noli
This is one of the "historical" windsurfing spots in northern Italy. Pretty famous for its winter rough conditions. Noli -former Sea Independent Republic- is a nice middle-age town to visit and chill out.
Winds:
- Ponente, direction W, best period: summer and spring (termic wind), range: 8-25 knots. Perfect conditions for Formula or freeride sessions.
- Tramontana, direction N, best period: autumn and winter, range: 15-40 knots. Good for slalom and freestyle sessions. Pretty gusty, small chops.
No major azards except fishnets during the night...so no night sessions!
NO KITE: not enough space on the beach and gusty conditions. Kiters spot: Albenga.
With maestrale better to go further west, to Pietra Ligure, Andora or Imperia. Some good wave contions there, mainly on-shore.
