Sunset Cove, near mile marker 66 on Hwy 126. If you head E from Eugene, its about 3 miles past the Willamette Pass ski resort.
Best time to hit it is summer, when there is a good temperature gradient between Eugene and Bend (Bend warmer), and an established W wind, with good winds in the gorge. Take this recipe and you are fully guaranteed to get some kickin wind from noon till about 6pm. Beautifull surroundings, eagles, ospreys, and lots of clear blue water!
It's very windsurfer friendly at the launch, and even a designated windsurfer's area with one of those brown signs! The Lake is at 5000' has a nice rolling small swell but you will need to ride a big sail.
