The Hilton is the preferred spot in Mission Bay to windsurf. It is small and less comfortable than others, but the location will give you a couple more MPH of wind, plus the nicest windsurfers around go here.
Watch out for the kitesurfers at Stinky Cove (formerly known as Enchanted Cove), but we tend to stay out of each others way for the most part.
The best wind direction is from the NW, and in the later summer averages 10-13, but we have our days too. In spring some 5.5 days, it is the best time to visit. Park at the north lot nearest to the Hilton.
Holiday weekends are a no-no...no! (too many parties etc.)
