This is a nice spot for practicing beach/waterstarts since the water is about waist deep for a long ways out. There is a marina here where my friend and I usually park, and we have to carry our gear around back along the pier to a little beach. I don't think it's technically a public beach, but we've never been hassled by anyone there. When the wind is coming from the North or North-West you have a nice onshore breeze. Also, while you're sailing you can check out the skates swimming in the water around you. Pretty cool!
