Windsurfing near Tracht

Finding this beach can be a little tricky but it is signposted from the Kinvara to Ballyvaughan road. There is a big car park and a grassy area for rigging. The beach faces WNW and it is popular with kitesurfers and windsurfers when the wind is blowing from the west through to NE. Southerly can be a bit gusty. There are few hazards to worry about except for the rocky reef that borders the southern coastline and some rocks at the northern end of the beach.

The tide make little difference to conditions.

I've never experienced any waves here but it must pick up some westerly swell.
