Windsurf Bay Park - a.k.a. Fireant Beach. One of the more popular launches in the North Texas area. If anyone is windsurfing, you can bet someone's at Fireant.
Great launch in Southeast conditions, and workable from most other directions. Stay inside the jetty for flatter water, or duck outside for better swell. A long fetch from the South means outside swell can get really big when winds are up for 24 hours or longer.
Water stays relatively warm during the winter because of the peak demand power plant - the bay is the exhaust side for plant cooling water. Usually can count on 50+F.

Fireant is a no alcohol beach, so keep them stowed when Garland PD rolls through - they are really tolerant of windsurfers, but will bust you if you flaunt it.
