One of the best inland lake sailing areas in South Island. Main wind is northerly with large lake swell over 8 foot. Great rigging area on grass with good access to water when lake is high. Access can be difficult over large rocks with breaking waves when lake is low due to hydro use. More suited to experienced windsurfers due to high winds and large lake swell.
